Residential Worker (Children’s) – Part Time

Liverpool City Council is recruiting Residential Workers to support children and young people living in one of its mainstream children’s homes in Liverpool.

There are two part-time permanent positions, working 17.5 hours per week, supporting children who may need emotional support because of adverse life experiences.

The role involves helping create a safe, warm and nurturing environment while supporting children with their education, social development, health and wellbeing.

About the Role

You will work as part of a residential care team supporting children and young people in a mainstream children’s home.

The home is rated Good by Ofsted, and the role focuses on helping children feel safe, cared for and supported to develop positive relationships and experiences.

You will contribute to the day-to-day running of the home and help ensure the individual needs of the children and young people are met.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting children and young people with their education, social development, health and wellbeing.
  • Helping create a warm, safe and nurturing residential environment.
  • Developing meaningful and positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Supporting children to grow, develop and have positive experiences.
  • Contributing to the everyday functioning of the children’s home.
  • Following relevant policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
  • Working with families and partner agencies to support and safeguard children and young people.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time position of 17.5 hours per week.

Visa Sponsorship and Right to Work
