About the Role
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will help make sure customer orders are picked, checked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
The position involves using warehouse management systems, checking stock and product quality, preparing parcels and supporting general warehouse operations. You will also help maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Previous experience in warehouse, picking, packing, fulfilment or dispatch work is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Process and update orders using warehouse management systems.
- Prepare, label and organise parcels for dispatch.
- Check stock levels and product quality before orders leave the warehouse.
- Report damaged products, shortages and stock discrepancies.
- Follow established warehouse processes and procedures.
- Carry out product checks and minor finishing tasks, including replacing crystals where required.
- Assist with stock handling and movement of goods.
- Support general warehouse duties.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
- Identify and suggest ways to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
Applicants should have previous experience in a warehouse, picking, packing, fulfilment or dispatch environment.
You should also be:
- Process-driven and able to follow procedures consistently.
- Comfortable using warehouse management systems.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Accurate and well organised, particularly during busy periods.
- Comfortable with practical, hands-on work.
- A clear communicator and supportive team member.
- Confident using basic Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Able to travel reliably to the St Albans warehouse within approximately 30 minutes.
Working Pattern
The employer is offering flexible full-time and part-time opportunities.
The standard working days are Monday to Friday, with overtime potentially available during busier periods.
