About the Role

The successful candidate will provide proactive housing advice and casework to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

A particular focus will be on supporting people approaching release from prison. You will work with individuals before their release and during their transition back into the community, helping to identify housing needs early and explore suitable housing and resettlement options.

The role involves working closely with prisons, Probation, resettlement services and other partner organisations.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing early housing advice and practical, person-centred interventions.
  • Supporting people approaching release from prison who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Identifying housing needs at an early stage.
  • Exploring homelessness prevention, housing and move-on options.
  • Supporting access to appropriate short-term prison release pathways, including Community Accommodation Service Tier 3 (CAS3).
  • Working with prisons, Probation, resettlement services and other partner agencies.
  • Supporting people experiencing multiple disadvantage and complex circumstances.
  • Helping reduce the risk of avoidable homelessness following release from custody.
  • Contributing to wider Housing Solutions Service casework and homelessness prevention activity.

Visa Sponsorship and Right to Work
