The Senior Housing Technical Support Officer will support the Housing Service in delivering quality services and meeting the Consumer Standards set by the Housing Regulator.

The role will also support the strategic housing function by helping ensure that systems provide accurate analytical data and business intelligence to support effective services for customers and colleagues.

The postholder will also be involved in projects introducing new technology, new business processes and changes to working practices across the Housing Service.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Housing Technical Support Team.
  • Support the smooth delivery of financial processes across the Housing Service.
  • Assist with the annual rent review and BACS processing.
  • Manage benefit entitlement processes.
  • Investigate lost payments and ensure payments are properly reconciled.
  • Provide effective business support to colleagues across the Housing Service.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to understand their requirements and provide appropriate support and solutions.
  • Contribute to shared business objectives and service improvement projects.

Skills and experience

Applicants should have:

  • A minimum of A Levels, or equivalent, in Maths, English and Computer Science/ICT.
  • At least two years’ experience working in an IT or Finance environment.
