Job Overview
Derby City Council is looking for enthusiastic and energetic Relief Customer Service Assistants to join the team at Springwood Leisure Centre.
The role involves providing a high standard of customer service while supporting the day-to-day operation of the leisure centre and helping customers access its range of facilities, activities and services.
Key Responsibilities
As a Relief Customer Service Assistant, your duties will include:
- Providing a high standard of service to customers, colleagues and visitors face-to-face, by telephone and by email.
- Responding to customer enquiries and providing information about products and services.
- Supporting promotional campaigns.
- Taking bookings for sports and physical activity sessions.
- Processing enrolments for coached activities and school holiday programmes.
- Managing customer access using front-of-house entry systems and supporting revenue protection.
- Maintaining customer databases.
- Providing tours of the leisure centre facilities.
- Setting up and taking down sports equipment for bookings and facility use.
- Carrying out regular checks of the building, machinery, plant and equipment.
- Reporting defects to the Operations Managers and completing the appropriate documentation.
