Hammersmith & Fulham Council is recruiting a Waste and Recycling Officer to support projects aimed at reducing waste, increasing recycling and improving waste and recycling services across the borough.

About the Role

The Waste Reduction and Recycling Team at Hammersmith & Fulham is looking for someone who can help improve recycling performance and contribute to the Council’s environmental objectives.

As a Waste Reduction and Recycling Officer, you will proactively manage and deliver new and existing projects covering areas such as:

  • Waste reduction
  • Community reuse
  • Food waste reduction
  • Waste and recycling service provision
  • Improving recycling performance
  • Waste management and environmental improvement projects

The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, an understanding of the principles and practices of recycling and waste management, and experience working in a waste environment and delivering improvement projects.

The role provides an opportunity to develop your career while contributing to projects designed to reduce environmental impacts and support the Council’s response to the climate emergency.
