Job Description:
Netflix is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their Merch & Algo Performance team! You’ll leverage causal inference methods and statistical analysis to drive insights on content promotion and personalization algorithms. Partner with business leaders, Product, Engineering, and AI teams to shape strategy and deliver impact.
Responsibilities:
- Drive insights using causal inference and statistical analysis
- Build metrics and measurement frameworks for decision-making
- Partner with stakeholders across the business
- Explore trends in content discovery and surface opportunities
- Work independently and drive projects forward
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data science roles
- Exceptional communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences)
- Expertise in statistical analysis and causal inference
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Comfort with ambiguity and minimal oversight
