About the Role
University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is currently recruiting a highly motivated and skilled nurse for the position of Junior Sister / Junior Charge Nurse within the Imaging and Interventional Radiology Department at Royal Sussex County Hospital.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses looking to develop advanced clinical and leadership skills in a supportive and innovative healthcare environment.
The Interventional Radiology team provides specialist care across multiple imaging modalities including:
- Interventional Radiology
- Hybrid Theatres
- CT
- Ultrasound
- Fluoroscopy
- Neurological Interventional Radiology
Successful candidates will receive comprehensive orientation, ongoing training, and professional development support.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support specialist treatments within the department
- Assess, plan, implement, and manage patient care
- Assist radiology specialists during procedures
- Monitor patients during and after procedures
- Provide specialist guidance to patients and carers
- Participate in audits, research, and service improvements
- Support staff training and mentoring
- Supervise junior nursing and support staff where required
Working Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 37.5 hours per week
- Flexible working arrangements available

This role qualifies for sponsorship under the UK Skilled Worker visa route, subject to meeting UKVI salary and eligibility requirements.
