Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a Laundry Assistant position within the NHS Laundry Service based at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Rhyl, North Wales.

The successful candidate will join a busy production environment responsible for processing linen for hospitals and healthcare facilities across North Wales. This role is ideal for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are comfortable working in an industrial production setting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving and sorting soiled and infectious linen
• Operating within laundry processing sections
• Working in wash house and calendar areas
• Dry folding and packing clean linen
• Dispatching processed linen to healthcare customers
• Maintaining hygiene and safety standards
• Supporting flexible operations across all laundry sections

Essential Requirements

• Experience working in an industrial or factory production environment
• Good standard of general education
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Previous commercial or healthcare laundry experience
• Laundry-related qualification
• Welsh language skills
