About the Role
Agincare is recruiting Female Support Workers to provide 1:1 support for a young adult with complex needs in their own home in Sturminster Newton.
This role is restricted to female applicants only under the Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) provisions of the Equality Act 2010 due to the personal care responsibilities involved.
You will help the individual live as independently as possible while providing compassionate support at home and within the local community.
Shift Pattern
- Day Shifts: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
- Waking Night Shifts: 10:00 PM – 9:30 AM
- Flexible shift adjustments may be available depending on applicant availability.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for a young adult with complex needs
- Deliver personal care including dressing and toileting
- Prepare nutritious meals
- Support community activities and outings
- Follow detailed care plans and daily routines
- Monitor health, wellbeing and safety
- Maintain accurate daily care records
- Work closely with family members and colleagues
Person Specification
Applicants should have:
- A caring, patient and compassionate attitude
- Excellent observation skills
- Ability to follow structured care plans
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential
- Full training will be provided
- Driving licence desirable for day shifts but not essential
