Key Responsibilities
As a Relief Retail Security Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a visible and reassuring security presence on the shop floor
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times
- Helping to deter theft and reduce stock loss
- Preventing and responding appropriately to anti-social behaviour
- Supporting the prevention of public order offences
- Carrying out regular patrols throughout the store
- Operating CCTV systems to help reduce crime and stock loss
- Working closely with store management teams
- Supporting relationships with the Police and local crime networks
- Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for customers, colleagues and other people onsite
- Maintaining a professional and approachable manner while carrying out security duties
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants should have:
- A valid SIA licence, or a willingness to complete the required training
- A full 5-year checkable employment or education history, which is essential for the vetting process
- A proactive and professional approach
