About the Role

NorthCare Charity is the official charity of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, supporting more than 20,000 staff delivering hospital and community healthcare services across Greater Manchester.

As a Communications & Impact Officer, you will help showcase the difference charitable donations make by creating compelling stories, engaging digital content and high-quality communications.

You will work closely with fundraising teams and colleagues across the Northern Care Alliance to support campaigns, events and appeals while helping to increase awareness and engagement with the charity.

This is a creative and varied position involving digital communications, storytelling, social media, website content, campaigns and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating engaging content for social media, websites and internal communications.
  • Writing compelling stories and case studies demonstrating the impact of donations.
  • Producing high-quality written and visual communications materials.
  • Supporting fundraising campaigns, events and appeals.
  • Managing and developing digital communication channels.
  • Increasing audience reach, engagement and fundraising opportunities.
  • Building relationships across the Northern Care Alliance to identify compelling stories.
  • Supporting media activity and helping increase the charity’s profile.
  • Recognising and celebrating supporters, fundraisers and partners.
