Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) is responsible for supplying and maintaining vital equipment and services for the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.

DE&S has recently been integrated into the National Armaments Director (NAD) Group, bringing together key Ministry of Defence organisations and expertise across science, technology, procurement, infrastructure and support.

IT Service Analyst Role Summary

DE&S is looking for an IT Service Analyst with strong knowledge and experience in Information Assurance, Security Governance, IT service management, compliance and operational controls.

The successful candidate will support effective service governance and lifecycle management while ensuring information systems meet relevant regulatory, security, policy and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Service Analyst, you will:

  • Support monitoring of services and product lifecycles.
  • Use appropriate tools, techniques and processes to track and log information.
  • Help maintain data integrity and identify process improvements.
  • Support risk and issue management processes.
  • Escalate risks and issues where appropriate.
  • Support relationships with Digital Live Services suppliers.
  • Work with stakeholders, customers and service users.
  • Help ensure compliance with relevant IT regulatory requirements.
  • Support effective IT service governance and operational controls.
  • Contribute to lifecycle assurance across information systems and services.
  • Help monitor governance, licensing and security obligations.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Experience in a regulatory, governance or compliance role — lead criterion.
  • Experience within an IT Service Analyst environment.

However, ITIL certification is not essential, as the employer states that this knowledge can be taught while in post.

Working Location

This is an on-site position in Warminster, Wiltshire.

Security Clearance Requirement

Applicants must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and successfully obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
