About the Digital Account Manager Role

The Digital Account Manager will join ICS Digital, a collaborative digital community focused on developing innovative, user-centred digital solutions.

The role involves working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the departments supported by ICS Digital.

You will help organisations understand their digital and technology needs and ensure those needs are supported throughout the entire service lifecycle.

The role will also contribute to developing a pipeline of future digital activity, helping the organisation identify upcoming requirements, shared needs and opportunities for reuse of existing technology and services.

You will work alongside digital specialists including:

  • Business Analysts
  • User Researchers
  • Delivery Managers
  • Development teams
  • Digital and technology subject matter experts

Key Responsibilities

As a Digital Account Manager, you will:

  • Act as the initial point of contact between business areas and ICS Digital.
  • Advocate for the work and capabilities of ICS Digital.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear digital and technology requirements.
  • Act as a mediator between users, business teams and digital specialists.
  • Present new digital ideas and recommendations to governance boards.
  • Provide clear communications and information about digital and technology activities.
  • Guide stakeholders through unfamiliar digital, technical and governance processes.
  • Help stakeholders understand assurance requirements.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the reduction of costs associated with service issues.
  • Improve efficiency through better understanding of user needs.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse existing technology and services.
  • Promote continuous improvement across the department.
  • Support digital activity from initial ideas through delivery and live operation.
  • Produce information and reporting that supports effective decision-making.

Salary

National: £56,900 – £64,510

London: £62,595 – £69,765

Salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.

New entrants are expected to join at the minimum of the relevant pay band.

Civil Service Pension

The role includes membership of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension Scheme.

The employer contribution is 28.97%.

For the advertised minimum salary of £56,900, the department states that its pension contribution is approximately £16,483.
