Overview

Liverpool City Council is recruiting a Protect Worker to support children and young people at risk of criminal or sexual exploitation. The role involves working closely with families, schools, social care teams, and police to reduce risks and improve outcomes for vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children and families experiencing exploitation risks
• Deliver short- and long-term interventions
• Work with multi-agency teams including Children’s Social Care and Police
• Assess needs and create support plans
• Advocate for children and families during meetings
• Maintain accurate case records and reports
• Provide support to parents and carers where necessary

Requirements

• Experience working with children and young people
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in safeguarding and multi-agency environments
• Good ICT and record-keeping skills
• Enhanced DBS check required
