Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team in the Newport/Torfaen area. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care to service users within their own homes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and preparing meals
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals
- Implement care plans under the supervision of medical staff
- Drive service users to appointments or outings when required
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users
- Provide emotional support to service users and their families
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans accurately and responsibly
- Valid driving licence (own car preferable)
- Experience in a care home or home care setting (preferred)
- Proficiency in English
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping
