About the Role
The Department for Transport is looking for motivated professionals to help oversee the successful delivery of the High Speed 2 (HS2) programme.
As an Assistant Delivery Sponsor, you will monitor project delivery, analyse complex data, challenge delivery partners, support senior decision-makers, and ensure value for money across major rail infrastructure projects.
You may be assigned to either:
- Old Oak Common Station
- Main Works Civils (Phase One)
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project performance against cost, schedule and scope.
- Analyse complex delivery and performance data.
- Identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
- Challenge HS2 Ltd and delivery partners where necessary.
- Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports for Ministers and senior government officials.
- Support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have experience in:
- Analysing management information and performance data.
- Producing insights that support business decisions.
- Communicating complex information to senior stakeholders.
- Building strong working relationships across organisations.
- Delivering outcomes within complex environments.
Working Hours
- 37 hours per week

Some travel to project sites, including occasional overnight stays, will be required.
