ASEL is recruiting a Security Officer to join its retail security team in Glasgow. This permanent opportunity is ideal for candidates with a valid SIA licence who are looking to build a long-term career in the UK’s security industry.

Shift Pattern
- Tuesday: 2:30 pm – 10:00 pm
- Wednesday & Thursday: 1:15 pm – 10:00 pm
- Friday & Saturday: 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- Sunday: 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol the retail store to deter theft and criminal activity.
- Provide a visible security presence.
- Assess and reduce security risks.
- Respond to incidents professionally.
- Prepare detailed incident reports using digital devices.
- Liaise with store management and local authorities.
- Conduct colleague and contractor searches when required.
- Support vulnerable individuals with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Security Guarding Licence or SIA Door Supervisor Licence (required).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Customer-focused attitude.
- Retail security experience is an advantage but full training is provided.
- Ability to provide a 5-year checkable employment or education history.
- Right to work in the UK.
