About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work within the Government Property Agency’s PropTech team, helping to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure for government digital services.
Working alongside software developers and multidisciplinary teams, you will automate deployments, improve CI/CD pipelines, enhance platform reliability, and support modern cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure.
- Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Automate deployments and testing.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor production services.
- Troubleshoot cloud-hosted applications.
- Collaborate with software development teams.
- Promote DevOps best practices.
- Improve deployment standards across engineering teams.
- Support an inclusive engineering culture.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have experience with:
- Public cloud infrastructure.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Git and GitHub CI/CD workflows.
- Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
- Troubleshooting web applications.
- Networking technologies including TCP, HTTP, DNS and SSL.
- Agile software development.
- Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Desirable Skills
Experience with any of the following is an advantage:
