About the Role

The Department for Work and Pensions is looking for an experienced Power BI Developer/Data Engineer to support the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) Digital Team.

You’ll develop cloud-based reporting solutions, interactive dashboards, and analytical products that help improve services for children and families across the UK. The role also offers opportunities to work with modern cloud and Big Data technologies in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Build scalable Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Develop and optimise data models.
  • Publish and maintain Power BI reports.
  • Monitor dataset refreshes and resolve issues.
  • Improve report performance.
  • Work with Data Engineers, Analysts and stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile delivery.
  • Mentor junior developers.
  • Ensure coding standards and best practices.

Hybrid Working

Successful candidates will normally work at least 60% of their contracted hours in the office, with the remainder worked remotely where appropriate.
