About the Role

Transport for London is recruiting a proactive and highly organised Project Support Officer to support workforce transformation, system implementation and business change initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), operational teams and key stakeholders to coordinate project activities, manage and validate data, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assist with implementation and help ensure business readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager with project planning, coordination and delivery.
  • Help ensure project milestones, actions and deadlines are achieved.
  • Prepare, cleanse and validate data for transition and implementation activities.
  • Work with NPL data, SAP positions and reporting structures.
  • Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Capture UAT outcomes and track defects through to resolution.
  • Support operational processes ahead of system or organisational changes.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation.
  • Maintain action logs, risk registers, issue logs, process maps and status reports.
  • Produce guidance materials and stakeholder communications.
  • Support training plans and internal communications.
  • Contribute to Communications and Engagement Plans.
  • Monitor joiner and leaver processes.
  • Support data accuracy and completion of pre-employment checks.
  • Support appropriate system access arrangements.
  • Deliver assigned project actions in line with project plans.
  • Identify and help mitigate project risks and dependencies.
  • Support project governance, progress tracking and reporting.
  • Escalate risks and issues where appropriate.
  • Work with SMEs, operational teams and stakeholders during implementation.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Record actions and ensure they are followed through to completion.

  • Support implementation and transition activities.
  • Help teams understand and manage operational impacts.
  • Contribute to project reviews, post-implementation evaluations and lessons learned.

Hybrid Working

The role is based at Endeavour Square, Stratford, London, with hybrid working available.

TfL states that approximately 50% of working time is split between the office and home over a four-week period.

Salary and Contract

Salary: Circa £35,500, depending on skills, knowledge and experience.

Contract: 6-month Fixed-Term Contract with possible extension.

Band: 2.
