About the Care Assistant – Nights Role

As a Care Assistant at Avon Valley Care Home, you will play an important role in supporting residents and helping to maintain their dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Your main focus will be delivering high standards of personal care while working as part of the wider care team to ensure continuity and quality of service.

You will work during night shifts and provide compassionate support to residents throughout the night.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene and personal care.
  • Promoting residents’ independence, dignity and respect at all times.
  • Recognising clinical risk areas, including weight loss, pressure sores and falls.
  • Identifying possible signs of infection.
