ABOUT THE ROLE

The Hewitt Fertility Centre provides comprehensive reproductive medicine services to both NHS and self-funded patients.

Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a bright, committed and enthusiastic Funding Assistant to join the centre’s administration team.

The successful candidate will support the administration of an efficient accounts service covering both NHS and self-funded patients.

The role requires someone with strong communication skills, administrative experience and the ability to maintain accurate financial and patient records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Funding Assistant will assist with the day-to-day administration of the centre’s accounts service.

Key duties include:

  • Responding to financial queries from patients and suppliers.
  • Liaising with the Team Leader to ensure patients are invoiced on time.
  • Ensuring payments are processed correctly.
  • Monitoring and pursuing outstanding debts within agreed timescales.
  • Generating monthly debt reminder letters.
  • Using the Infertility Database for Embryology and Andrology Systems (IDEAS).
  • Ensuring inappropriate debt reminder letters are not issued.
  • Maintaining accurate records of monthly debtors.
  • Contacting patients weekly and monthly regarding outstanding payments.
  • Using initiative when proposing financial agreements with patients within agreed guidelines.
  • Keeping financial agreements accurate and up to date.
  • Maintaining accurate records for management and accounting purposes.
  • Supporting the efficient operation of the accounts administration service.

Essential Skills & Knowledge
