About the Role

As an Enforcement Officer, you will investigate individuals and organisations suspected of providing unlawful immigration advice.

The successful candidate will:

• Conduct criminal investigations.
• Prepare prosecution files.
• Attend criminal court proceedings.
• Work with police, prosecutors and regulatory bodies.
• Help prevent unlawful immigration advice through enforcement and regulatory action.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct criminal investigations into unlawful immigration advice providers.
• Gather, analyse and preserve evidence.
• Interview suspects and witnesses.
• Conduct interviews under caution.
• Apply for and execute search warrants.
• Prepare prosecution case files.
• Produce witness statements and investigation reports.
• Represent the organisation in criminal courts.
• Give evidence during court proceedings.
• Liaise with prosecutors and legal advisers.
• Maintain accurate investigation records.
• Use warning letters and other enforcement measures where appropriate.
• Support future financial penalty enforcement.
• Work with police and partner agencies.
• Support complainants and witnesses throughout investigations.
• Contribute to improving enforcement policies and operational procedures.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Current PIP Level 2 Accreditation or recognised equivalent.
• Experience managing complex criminal investigations.
• Experience preparing prosecution case files.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) 1984
  • Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA) 1996
• Experience gathering and assessing evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using enforcement tools beyond prosecution.
• Strong organisational and case management skills.
• Ability to travel when required.

Working Location
