About the Role
MK Construction & Renovation Ltd is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to support residential construction and renovation projects across Greater London. The successful candidate will carry out bricklaying, blockwork, masonry repairs, and restoration work while maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety.
You will work directly under the supervision of the company Director and contribute to a variety of building projects, including home extensions, loft conversions, refurbishments, and property restoration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bricklaying, blockwork, and masonry work.
- Construct, repair, and maintain brick and block walls.
- Build foundations, partitions, and other structural features.
- Measure, cut, shape, and lay construction materials accurately.
- Mix mortar according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and measurements.
- Repair and restore existing brickwork on renovation projects.
- Prepare work areas before construction begins.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship on every project.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and subcontractors to meet project deadlines.
- Report progress, material requirements, and safety concerns to management.
Essential Skills and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer or Mason.
